I’m a professional Birth Photographer, Birth Doula, and a Certified Lactation Counselor. What does that mean for your birth story? It means I am not just another body in the room. I am an active part of your birth team and I am on your side. I am incredibly passionate about women, their rights and empowerment during labor, their journey postpartum, and into motherhood. I want these images to bring you right back to these moments forever and I want you to be able to feel the emotions you felt that day for the rest of your life.

Investing in a birth photographer isn't a simple task. I want to make sure you have the right information to make the best choice as to who you allow in your sacred birth space.

secure your date.

Reach out as soon as you are ready to secure your date. Include important information such as your estimated due date, birth location, etc.


getting to know each other.

We'll connect over email, FaceTime, or Zoom to make sure we are the right fit. (If life allows us to sit down together with your birth team, I'd prefer that.) If I'm the one for you, I'll send my contract, you'll make your deposit, and it's official.


your birth plan.

It's absolutely necessary we sit down in person and talk ABOUT birth details. I want to know what you're most comfortable with, what your birth preferences are, and when I can bring your favorite bev after all your hard work.

the waiting game.

And now we let baby do their thing.
We will be in close contact, you'll have my cell, and you will keep me updated on any changes or progress.

And that's a wrap. It's bittersweet because it's so beautiful to watch you enter this next part of your journey but, damn, I'll miss you. We'll be in touch (promise) and I ask you TO send photo updates of baby whenever possible.

  • I could give you thousands of reasons but, honestly, they won't mean anything to you unless you are passionate about birth photography.

    I can say that if you are wanting to look back on your birth and FEEL it again, to tell your children's children about the strong women in their lineage, or want to remind yourself how incredibly powerful you are, birth photography might be for you.

  • Absolutely I do. I am telling your story.

    When you receive your gallery, you can decide which images you'd like to keep for yourself or share with others.

    I will NEVER share an image or gallery online without your consent first. EVER.

  • Yes. I want this to be attainable to anyone who desires it. I require a $500 non-refundable retainer fee at contract signing. After that, your remaining balance is due by 37 weeks. You can make payments weekly, monthly, some here, a little there, or not again until the balance is due.

  • We will know. We will just know.

    I'm a very STRAIGHTFORWARD person and I am very easy to read. I won't tell you something to make you book and I won't try to talk you into this to take your money. If we don't click, I can refer you to other amazing birth photographers in the bismarck/mandan area.

  • I will show up for active labor (unless we’ve made other arrangements ahead of time). When contractions require focus, you're uncomfortable, and your labor is developing its own pattern. If you are utilizing cervical checks, this is around 6-7cm.

  • We have a plan, you're paid, we are ready to go.& then you have a baby at home on your toilet. It happens! Babies don't wait for me.I require a minimum of 1 hour to get to your birth location from the time you notify me you are in active labor. If baby should arrive before I get there, I will photograph whatever I witness when I get there and we can arrange a fresh 48 or newborn session.

  • My fee covers your ENTIRE birth. From active labor until about an hour postpartum. It's that simple. My longest birth was 25 hours, my shortest was 2. It's different for everyone!

    After 24 hours, I do reserve the right to call in my backup photographer so I can sleep, eat, or just rest but your birth will be covered.

  • Within 5 days of your birth you will have your fully edited gallery in your inbox.

  • I have been documenting families for a decade and births for six years.

  • Loss happens and it's shitty and it sucks.In the event of any loss, ALL payments are fully refundable.

    Some clients choose to have their story documented as it unfolds. I've also had clients ask me to hold onto deposits for future pregnancies or other family sessions.

    You will know the best answer for you at that time and I will honor whatever that is.
