joe and berna vetter own Joe vetter construction, a locally owned and operated custom home construction company. they have quite the legacy with beautiful, custom HOMES built all over Bismarck/mandan but more importantly, a big, lovely family that continues to grow.

berna and i had been planning this session for a couple years. after initially setting a date, she found out two more grand babies were on the way so we decided to hold off a bit and, damn, was it worth it. i love extended family sessions so much and being able to meet all these different people from DIFFERENT walks of life who love each other so deeply is…beautiful.

what can you expect from an extended family session? While i want to get those classics of everyone looking right at the camera, i also want to tell the story of your family. We will get classics, candids, and portraits and all of them will be a direct reflection of your family. i want your session to feel like it’s yours. we will book a consultation to go over everything from location to wardrobe and more. and then i want you to tell me about your family. i want to know who is going to take a while to warm up to me and who is going to hug me as i walk through the door. i want to know how you met, how you spend your time, and what makes you, you. the more i know about your family, the more of your story i am able to tell.
